IMPERMANENCE, 2024
An investigation into human reminiscence and memory, large in scope yet intimate in format – how differently we experience things in the moment versus days, months, and years later. What is the permanence of photos in an album, rolls of film, and drawings on paper, to the impermanence of the fleeting moment itself? Unique moments, personal to me, are at the same time familiar to many. Once reassembled and given a different context, something that originally looks familiar introduces new interpretations and curiosity enhanced by personal experience and culture.
